Police bust cricket betting racket

New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) The police today claimed to have busted an illegal cricket betting racket by arresting five persons in separate incidents from different areas.

Dinesh Singh and Ajit Kumar were arrested yesterday in Tri nagar operating satta on the cricket match between New Zealand and Srilanka. A colour TV set, calculator, mobile phones and satta slips were recovered from their possession.

Manish Sharma was arrested at West Kanti Nagar. A green colour slip, coloured pens, Rs 308 cash were also recovered from his possession.

Harish was held at Trilokpuri carrying satta slips, a diary and a pen and Rs 335 an cash.

Anil Kumar Jain was caught red handed at Krishna nagar writing satta slips.
