PCB chief Ashraf's appointment challenged in Pak SC
Lahore, Mar 7 (UNI) PCB chief Naseem Ashraf's appointment was challenged in Pakistan Supreme Court which would now hear the case next month.
Rehan Waseem, a law student, had filed a petition wherein he maintained that Ashraf's appointment was unconstitutional as he was not elected as required by the law.
The petition said that the affairs of the cricket board are being run on ad hoc basis which was the main reason for decline of standard of the national side.
After hearing the preliminary arguments of the petitioner, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry issued notices to the respondents and fix the case for the first week of April for hearing, the Daily Times reported.
