Patiala beat Bathinda in Punjab inter district cricket

Patiala, Apr 19 (UNI) Patiala scored a facile victory against Bathinda on the second day of the Sushil Bali Punjab Inter-District Under-15 Cricket Tournament here today at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.

Patiala, 10 for no loss at close on the first day, went on to score a healthy 225 for 3 in the allotted 95 overs. Gaurav Preet played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 80 and was well supported by Shivam Goyal (45) , Vikram Aditya (44) and Kamal Bansal (34). For Bathinda, no bowler was penetrative enough to test the Patiala batsmen. Vikram Lamba, Sukhdeep Singh and Sangram, all pedestrian, bagged a wicket each.

Patiala got 2 points by virtue of 142 runs first innings lead, while Bathinda got no points. Patiala will now play against Mohali on April 21 and 22 at Mohali.
