Pakistan Cricket Takes Fresh Twist, Ex-Player appointed as Head Coach and Selector in new Panel

Announced on March 5, 2026, the new four-member panel brings in two highly respected former captains: Misbah-ul-Haq and Sarfaraz Ahmed. They replace Aleem Dar and the non-voting analyst from the previous setup. Retained members include experienced former international Aqib Javed and Asad Shafiq, ensuring continuity in expertise. Along with that, Sarfaraz Ahmed is also set to be appointed as Pakistan's Test coach.
