Notts sign Australia''s David Hussey

London, Feb 22 (AFP) Australian World Cup all-rounderDavid Hussey and compatriot Adam Voges have signed as overseasplayers for English county champions Nottinghamshire, the clubannounced today.

Voges will be available from the opening day of theseason, with Hussey set to feature for the first time whenNotts Outlaws play in the national Twenty20 event on June 3, astatement on the club''s website said.

Both players will be available for the duration of theTwenty20 competition, with Hussey staying on to complete theseason with Nottinghamshire, subject to internationalcommitments.

"Adam and David made big contributions for us last seasonand the prospect of pairing them in T20 is something thatwe''re very excited about," said Nottinghamshire director ofcricket Mick Newell.

"It''s great that Notts give me a regular opportunity toplay county cricket and I want to help the team to make a pushin all three competitions," said Hussey, part of Australia''ssquad at the ongoing World Cup. (AFP) PM
