New Zealand win toss, Australia to bat in Wellington
WELLINGTON, Feb 16 (Reuters) New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl in the first match of the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy one-day series against Australia at the Basin Reserve today.
New Zealand recalled Craig McMillan for the first contest of the three-match series and included Daryl Tuffey, the paceman named in their World Cup squad after almost two years out of the one-day side.
Australia named Phil Jaques in place of injured stand-in vice captain Michael Clarke, who has a hip injury, and Mitchell Johnson replaced Brett Lee, who returned home after damaging his ankle during practice on Thursday.
