New Zealand U-19 beat India in 2nd 'Test' to level series 1-1
Christchurch, Jan 30 (UNI) New Zealand under-19 clinched a 73-run series-levelling win against India in the second 'Test' at Carisbrook ground at Dunedin here today.
Having reduced India to 222 for nine at the draw of stumps on day three yesterday, a Kiwi win was inevitable and the visitors could add just 10 runs before the last wicket fell.
Star performer Timothy Southee completed the formalities removing D Kulkarni and Indian second innings folded at 232 giving the Kiwis a 73-run victory.
Southee (6 for 56) eneded the match on 11 wickets, having claimed five Indian batsmen in the first innings.
The Kiwis now levelled the three-match series 1-1 and go to Bert Sutcliffe Oval at Lincoln for the third 'Test' scheduled for February 2 to 5.
India had won the first 'Test' at Bert Sutcliffe Oval at Lincoln.
India will also play three 'ODI's on February 7, 8 and 10.
All of them will be played at Bert Sutcliffe Oval at Lincoln.
