New cricket stadium opens in Thalassery
Kannur, Nov 16 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan inaugurated a new cricket stadium at Thalassery in the district today.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the government would sanction Rs one crore for renovation of the Municipal Stadium there for other games.
Sports and Youth Affairs Minister M Vijayakumar said Kannur had been selected as one the venues of the National Games-2010 being hosted by the state.
