MP govt ready to provide facilities to ICL: CM
Bhopal, Aug 29 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government is ready to make its sports grounds available to the Indian Cricket League (ICL) being supported by former Team India skipper Kapil Dev.
''It was under Dev's captaincy that India won its first World Cup,'' Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan pointed out to reporters in response to a related query on the occasion of a Khel (Sports) Panchayat organised at his residence today.
He assured that his government was prepared to help any institute encouraging sports. The statement assumes considerable significance in view of the competition between ICL and the Board of Control for Cricket in India's proposed Professional Cricket League.
