MP derail Rly in Ranji-tie

Indore, Feb 21 (UNI) Sunil Dholpure's lethal deliveries scalped five Railway batsmen and bundled the team out for 174 to give Madhya Pradesh a 72-run victory in a Central Zone Ranji league one-dayer here today.

After winning the toss, Railway opted to field. Mohnish Mishra (39) came to the crease to aid skipper S Abbas Ali (50) after two wickets had fallen with the scorecard reading 39. The duo added 65 for the third wicket. At one point, the hosts were 146 for five.

Brajesh Tomar (23) and Shadab Khan (52 not out) added 47 for the sixth wicket.

Madhya Pradesh scored 246/7 in the allotted 50 overs.

A Saxena (2), M Kartik (2) and S Khanolkar (1) were the successful bowlers for Madhya Pradesh.

For Railway, opening batsman J P Yadav (54) was the sole batsman who managed a respectable score, studded with eight boundaries white J Shankar Rao (29) remained unbeaten.

Yogesh Golwalkar, Devendra Bundela, T Sudheendra and S Pande took a wicket each. The hosts earned five points including a bonus point.
