Most T20 Wins In A Calendar Year: India extend record with wins in T20 World Cup 2022

The Indian cricket team may have had a disappointing outing in the Asia Cup 2022, but the Men in Blue broke the record for most T20 wins in a calendar year held by Pakistan with a series-clinching win over Australia.
Indian lost to Australia in the series opener, but bounced back in the second T20I and third T20I to win the series and also achieve the feat of most T20 wins in a year.
They further extended that record with a series win over South Africa and also four wins in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup 2022.
India has so far won 27 of their 36 T20 matches in 2022, the year when they lost two matches in the Asia Cup, 1 in T20 World Cup, 2 in home series vs SA, 1 vs Australia at home, 1 each vs West Indies and England away.
Now, the Men in Blue can extend the record by a huge margin with amount of T20 matches they will be playing for the rest of the year.
Earlier this year, Rohit Sharma-led India had achieved another milestone, going level with Afghanistan and Romania for most consecutive T20 wins with 12 wins on the trot. That run started in last year's T20 World Cup, but their run was ended by South Africa in June.
Here is a look at India's T20 wins in 2022, the teams with most T20 wins in a calendar year and Team India's T20 schedule for the rest of the year:
