Trailing behind Fakhar, but not by far, is Asif Ali, a true enforcer in the middle order who's known for his late-innings fireworks. Representing Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi over the years, Asif has smacked 90 sixes across 72 innings, maintaining a sizzling strike rate of 156.51. Though his average sits at 22.25, when it comes to raw power and match-turning hits, few can rival him.
Veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal, despite hanging up his gloves after the 2022 season, remains third on the list with 89 sixes. A consistent force for Peshawar Zalmi, Kamran lit up the early PSL seasons with his elegant yet explosive style. With 1,972 runs from 74 innings, including three centuries, he remains one of the league's most memorable hitters.
All-rounder and evergreen campaigner Shoaib Malik continues to showcase his longevity, having featured for Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi. His 91-match PSL career includes 82 sixes, proving that class and experience still pack a punch. "I always aim to keep the scoreboard ticking, but if the ball is in my zone, I won't hesitate to go over the ropes," Malik once said-and the numbers back him.
International stars have also left their mark. Australia's Shane Watson smashed 81 sixes for Islamabad and Quetta, while South Africa's Rilee Rossouw, with his 79 sixes, continues to blend style with substance for Multan and Quetta.
The Caribbean colossus Kieron Pollard, though playing fewer matches (53), has flexed his muscles to clear the ropes 77 times, boasting the highest strike rate of 162.28 among the top ten. His presence alone often tilts the pressure onto the bowlers.
Sharjeel Khan, Colin Munro, and Shadab Khan round off the top ten, proving that whether it's the top order, middle order, or even the all-rounders, six-hitting in the PSL is a shared obsession.
As the PSL continues to grow in stature and spectacle, one thing is certain-the six is here to stay, and Fakhar Zaman sits royally atop its throne, for now.
