Malaysia may host Pak-SA cricket series

Lahore, Feb.17 (ANI): Malaysia is likely to host a Pakistan-South Africa cricket series after the Proteas refused to tour Pakistan citing security reasons.

The series, consisting of three Test matches, five One-day Internationals and a Twenty20 match, is scheduled to be held in October.

According to sources, Dubai and Abu Dhabi may also get to host the proposed series.

However, a final decision in this regard will be taken in March.

South Africa has become the latest team to pull out of a scheduled Test tour of Pakistan because of security concerns. India and Australia have done so earlier.

Several foreign teams have refused to tour Pakistan following the March 2009 terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. (ANI)
