Kolkata Knight Riders will bounce back--Ganguly

Jaipur, Apr 30 (UNI) Kolkata Knight Riders, though disappointed by losing two matches, will bounce back in the remaining ten IPL matches, skipper Saurav Ganguly said here late this evening.

Ganguly said that Rajasthan Royals were termed as under dog in the tournament. Losing their first match they bounced back and recorded three victories in a row. Similarly, Kolkata Riders will also perform better in remaining matches and will bounce back to be one of the contenders for the title. He admitted that they did not play good cricket in the matches they lost.

When asked about the replacement of Shoib Akhtar who was banned by Pakistan cricket Board, he said that Umar Gul and Brad Hogg have joined the squad. On a question of opener slot, Ganguly said that there will be no change in the batting order. He said with the inclusion of Gul and Hogg there will be no adverse affect in the team with the departure of Australian captain Ricky Ponting.

Replying to a question about low score at Eden Garden, Ganguly said that there was noting wrong with the wicket. ''As a matter of fact we did not play a good cricket,'' he said.

About spoiling the career of spinners like Piyush Chawla in Twenty-20 cricket, John Buchanan, the coach of Kolkata Riders said that it is not like that.

Ganguly said that the final XI will be announced before start of the match tomorrow.
