Kapil Soni shines for Cricket Club of Indore

Pune, May 23 (UNI) An all-round performance by Kapil Soni helped Cricket Club of Indore score a 63-run victory over Kumar Properties XI at the second Poona Club Rolling trophy Boys Under-15 cricket tournament here today.

In the first match of the day, batting first, Cricket Club of Indore scored 178 runs in their 30 overs, thanks to an excellent batting performance by Kapil Soni (60) and Parth Sahani (70).

Kumar Properties XI batsmen could not handle the average required rate of 5.93 per over target. Their team crumbled in 25.3 overs for 115 runs. Again, Kapil showed his talent in bowling, taking three wickets for 16 runs, while team-mate Prasun Bisht scalped three wickets for 13 runs.

The other match between Poona Club and Club of Maharashtra was disrupted because of heavy rains.
