JSCA celebrates Dhoni's elevation as ODI captain

Jamshedpur, Sep 18 (UNI) Jharkhand State Cricket Association(JSCA) today celebrated the appointmnet of Jharkhand cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the team India ODI captain for the coming seven-match home series against Australia.

The office bearers of the JSCA cut a giant size cake at the association office here and congratulated Dhoni for bagging the honour to become the first cricketer from Jharkhand and Bihar to lead the country.

Expressing his happiness over Dhoni's success in a short span of time, JSCA vice-president B N Singh told UNI that the Jharkhand cricketer had set an example before the young and aspiring players of the state.

He said, ''Youngsters should learn from Dhoni's devotion and hard work towards the game. He also breaks the myth that captaincy and success are resevered for the players of big cities alone. If one is talented no body can deter him.'' JSCA secretary Rajesh Verma and other senior officals and members were also present during the celebrations.
