Jharkhand celebrates Dhoni's success in T20 match

Ranchi, Sep 24 (UNI) Loud cheers for Dhoni rent the air of the capital tonight as Team India defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup by five runs at Johannesburg in South Africa.

Thousands of people in different localities braved the heavy downpour to celebrate local hero M S Dhoni's success.

People burst crackers to celebrate the win. Dhoni fans were performing pujas at temples and mosques throughout the day for his success.

Chief Minister Madhu Koda congratulated the Indian Captain on his success saying he not only brought laurels to the country but also to his home state Jharkhand.

Earlier, last month Mr Koda had announced that he will give Dhoni a ''surprise gift'' if his team won this T20 World cup.
