Jacob to lead Vadodara against Mumbai in Ranji semi-final
Vadodara, Jan 18 (UNI) Jacob Martin was today named Vadodara skipper for its Ranji Trophy Semi-final match against Mumbai to be played at the Motibaug Palace ground here from January 23.
The senior selection panel of Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) which met this evening under chairmanship of Dashrath Pardeshi, made only one change in the 15-member squad bringing in medium pacer Shekhar Joshi in place of middle-order batsman Satrunjay Gaekwad, son of former India captain Ansuman Gaekwad.
While Vadodara topped the Ranji Elite Group 'A' with 17 points, Mumbai finished runners-up in Group 'B' picking up 15 points.
The 15-member team includes Jacob Martin (cap), Pinal Shah (vc-wk), Satyajit Parab, Connor Williams, Rakesh Solanki, Irfan Pathan (Sr), Rakesh Patel, Rajesh Pawar, Yusuf Pathan, Ketan Panchal, Rishikesh Parab, Ajit Bhoite, Himanshu Jadhav and Irfan Pathan.
