Italy becomes 25th Nation to qualify for T20 World Cup, Creates History - Full List of Countries participating in T20 WC Over the Years

Italy has become the latest European nation to qualify for the T20 World Cup as the Azzurri have earned a place in the T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to take place in India and Sri Lanka.

They secured the World Cup spot after finishing 2nd in the ICC T20 World Cup Europe qualifier. The Italian side qualified at the expense of Jersey, who couldn't qualify due to an inferior Net Run Rate. Although Italy lost their final qualifier match against the Netherlands, they have done enough to participate in the prized competition next year. Along with Italy, the Netherlands have also qualified for the ICC tournament.

Since the inaugural ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2007, 24 countries have participated in at least one edition through 2024, and now Italy has become the 25th nation.
