Israeli u-17 cricket team on week-long tour; to play 5 matches
Mumbai, Mar 17 (UNI) An Israeli under-17 cricket team would be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the first time from March 19, as part of its commitment to develop the game with the associate member countries of the ICC.
The 14-member squad, the nucleus of the under-19 side that will play in the European Cup later this year, will play five practice games here during their week-long stay.
Apart from the matches, the team will also undergo special training to be organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
The team, which arrives here on Monday, will play their opening tie on March 20. The matches will be played at the Wankhede Stadium and at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
