IPL Auction 2011 begins - Big names for sale
Bangalore, Jan 8: The much awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 4 auction has started on Saturday, Jan 8. During the two day auction a total of 353 players will be auctioned including 48 Indians. The big names for 'sale' are Gautam Gambhir, Brian Lara, Kevin Peiterson, Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh.
The first big player sold in the auction was Gautam Gambir, who played for Delhi Dare Devils. Gambhir was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 11.4 crore. The Srilankan all-rounder Dilshan has moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 2.99 crore.
