The Delhi-lad slammed his 24th IPL fifty and after crossing the individual total of 57 in the match the flamboyant right-handed batter created another new record.

The Orange Cap holder in the ongoing tournament became the highest run-getter in a single season of the tournament. He has so far scored 752 runs in the 12 matches and still has a minimum of 2 games left to play.
This record was previously held by Chris Gayle and Michael Hussey who had scored 733 runs in one edition.
Gayle achieved the feat in IPL 4 for Royal Challengers Bangalore while Hussey achieved this feat in IPL 5 for Chennai Super Kings.
The right-hander also became the first Indian to score 700+ runs in one season edition. Robin Uthappa's 660 for KKR in the 2014 edition was the previous highest by an Indian.
