IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans take Heritage Tour to Vadnagar, take stop of Narendra Modi Initiative
Gujarat Titans recently took a meaningful detour from the pitch to the past, exploring the historic town of Vadnagar. Organized in partnership with Gujarat Tourism and the Ministry of Home, the immersive day-long visit was a vibrant celebration of heritage and roots-bringing nearly 100 members of the franchise, including players, support staff, management, and families, closer to the land they represent.
The cultural journey began at the Vadnagar Archaeological Experiential Museum, India's first museum of its kind, offering a deep dive into the region's rich archaeological history. The squad engaged with exhibits and explored an ongoing live excavation site that sheds light on Vadnagar's ancient past.

A key highlight of the day was the stop at Prerna Sankul, a visionary educational initiative launched by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This experiential learning centre invites young minds and educators from across India to discover the interconnectedness of science, culture, and values. Titans players interacted with students, sharing stories and inspiration in a place closely tied to the Prime Minister's early schooling-adding layers of significance to the moment.
The team then paid a visit to the Kirti Toran, a majestic architectural relic from the Solanki dynasty. The intricate stonework left the visitors visibly impressed, as they soaked in the grandeur of Gujarat's medieval craftsmanship. The final stop was the Hatkeshwar Temple, where the squad joined locals in the evening Aarti, concluding their visit with spiritual reflection and reverence.
Everywhere they went, Vadnagar's residents turned out in droves, greeting the players with unrestrained joy and deep pride. It was a moving display of unity, tradition, and mutual respect.
"At Gujarat Titans, we carry the spirit of Gujarat with us in everything we do. This visit was about more than history - it was about connection," said Colonel Arvinder Singh, COO of Gujarat Titans. "We are honoured to represent a land so rich in culture and legacy."
This initiative is part of the Titans' broader effort to forge deeper bonds with the people of Gujarat-not just as a cricket team, but as cultural ambassadors of the state's enduring identity.
