IPL 2024: Four Delhi Capitals stars who can be perfect as Impact Player

It is a make-or-break season for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming IPL 2024 edition. The Capitals have been devoid of an IPL title since its inception and will be desperate to get things spot-on in this year's tournament.

Delhi Capitals retained most of their core players ahead of this season. They will also be boosted by captain Rishabh Pant's inclusion to the squad after he missed out on IPL 2023 after an accident.

They have roped in some top players in the IPL 2024 auction as well. Harry Brook was a big signing, whereas Kumar Kushagra, Shai Hope are the other notable arrivals at the franchise.

But as we approach IPL 2024 in a couple of months, they will have to find the right combination and get themselves to a decent start. And among their squad members, these four players can be a perfect option as an Impact Player.

Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant is likely to be part of the DC squad as an Impact Player. Pant is yet to reach full fitness and may require a bit more time to be back on his wicketkeeping duties.

But Pant's ability to hit the ball and his overall presence will be a massive boost for the Capitals. The southpaw can play a part only as a batter, which can be the perfect settlement for both the player and the team.

Ishant Sharma

Veteran India pacer Ishant Sharma was a decent performer in IPL 2023 and was subsequently retained by DC. Sharma's role this season may well be just as an Impact Player, and he is someone who will suit his new role with his bowling in the powerplay.

Hence we may see Ishant Sharma being named on the bench throughout the season and he can come in and play as an Impact Player.

Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw's IPL 2023 was a dismal one, but he will be hoping to resurrect his form in the coming season. Shaw was out of form in the entire tournament last year, but is tipped to make a comeback and do well for DC in this come upcoming campaign. Shaw's role in the team can be limited as an impact player, where he may well be introduced only as a batter, which suits him as well.

Vicky Ostwal

Vicky Ostwal can also be a perfect impact player for DC. The 21-year-old youngster is a left-arm spinner and can play a key part in spinning conditions when the Capitals bowl second in the match.

Ostwal's ability to turn the ball with accuracy in line and length can be utilized by the DC team management and we may see him spinning his web as an Impact Player this year.
