IPL 2024 Auction Sold Players: The Indian Premier League 2024 Auction is taking place on Tuesday, December 19 in Dubai. Ahead of the 17th season of IPL, the ten teams are all set to restructure their squad in the auction.
The franchises let go of many of their squad members from last season and hence we can expect a good amount of spending in the coming auction.
A total of 333 players will be going under the hammer, among whom there are 119 overseas and 214 Indian players. The total number of capped players are 116, uncapped players are 215. A maximum of 77 slots are available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players across all ten teams.

Rovman Powell became the first player sold in the IPL 2024 auction. Rajasthan Royals roped him in for Rs. 7.4 crore. The biggest buys of the day has been two Australian pacers, who both broke IPL records.
Pat Cummins was sold to SRH for Rs. 20.50 crore, but it was eclipsed by Kolkata Knight Riders who spent Rs. 24.75 crore to rope in Mitchell Starc, the most expensive player in IPL history.
Among the uncapped players, Shahrukh Khan went to Gujarat Titans for 7.4 crore, but it was Sameer Rizvi who stole the show with a Rs. 8.4 crore move to Chennai Super Kings.
