Injuries may add to Pak cricket team's woes

Karachi, Aug. 7 (ANI): With four Pakistani players injured, the current Twenty20 world champions may not be able to put their fittest foot forward during their face-off with Sri Lanka in Colombo on August 12.

The News quoted Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam, as saying that the team management has decided not to call for replacements for theTwenty20 game.

Pakistan already has lost the three-match Test series 0-2 and is 0-3 down in the five-match One-day International series.

Pace bowler Umar Gul has ankle injury, while vice-captain Misbah-ul-Haq's sugar-levels have gone down alarmingly.

Seasoned all-rounder Abdul Razzaq is nursing a calf injury, while captain Younis is flying back home after the final ODI on August 9, as he has retired from the shortest version of the game.

All-rounder Shahid Afridi will lead Pakistan in that game.

The Pakistan management will have 12 players to choose from. (ANI)
