India vs West Indies 2nd T20I Result: Pooran, Hosein punish lackluster India as hosts take 2-0 lead
India have fallen to consecutive defeats at the hands of West Indies as they lost the 2nd T20I on Sunday (August 6) at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
West Indies won consecutive T20I matches against India for the first time since 2015. The hosts now have the upper hand in the T20 series with a 2-0 lead. It was Akeal Hosein and Alzarri Joseph who starred for West Indies while Nicholas Pooran played a brilliant knock with the bat.

India scored 152 for 7 in their 20 overs after choosing to bat first. It was another poor display from the start for the visitors as Shubman Gill (7) and Suryakumar Yadav (1) fell cheaply. It was Tilak Varma again to the rescue as the southpaw scored a brilliant 51 off 41 balls to steer India's ship.
Hardik Pandya (24 off 18) and Axar Patel (14 off 12) played some late cameo and Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh's last over flurry took India beyond the 150-run mark.
In the chase, West Indies lost two early wickets as India captain Hardik Pandya picked up both Brandon King and Johnson Charles. But it was Nicholas Pooran who played a brilliant knock for the hosts to take them closer towards the target. The southpaw scored 67 runs off just 40 balls but as Pooran fell, Windies had a massive stutter.
The home side lost four wickets in just two runs and required their tail-enders to get them over the line, which they did so. Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein took them home in a dramatic fashion as the Caribbean pair added 26 runs for the 9th wicket.
