India vs England 1st ODI: KL Rahul In, Rishabh Pant Out? India's probable Playing XI ahead of Nagpur clash
The Indian cricket team is up against England for a three-match ODI series, starting on Thursday (February 6).
After the comprehensive 4-1 series win in the T20Is, the focus of the team shifts to the ODI format ahead of the Champions Trophy.

India head coach Gautam Gambhir will be hoping to make amends as he looks for the first ODI victory as India coach. The team will also see the return of the gladiators as the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant and others are set to return to the team.
As per reports, team India is still mulling over the selection of wicketkeeper ahead of the first ODI in Nagpur. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant were selected for the ODI series and the Champions Trophy, and the former is currently said to be ahead in the pecking order. Rahul had a few decent outings in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, while Pant was accused of throwing wickets away in the series. Although the selection would be based of form and fitness levels, Rahul's levelheadedness may edge him ahead of Pant, whose flamboyance may pay the price.
Also, there is a selection dilemma over Yashasvi Jaiswal. The southpaw is yet to play an ODI for India, and his wait may continue. India captain Rohit Sharma is certain, and he is likely to partner with Shubman Gill, who has a terrific record in the 50-over format.
A returning Shreyas Iyer is likely to find a place in the team, whereas Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja may have to hone the all-round skills. For the first match, Mohammed Shami looks set to partner Arshdeep Singh but Harshit Rana can also come in if the Indian team opts to go with a three-man pace unit.
