India gets only one wram-up match prior to Test series Down Under
Sydney, July 5 (UNI) India will get only a three-day warm up game against Victoria beginning on December 20 at St Kilda Cricket Ground in Melbourne prior to their two-and-half months long tour to Australia.
India will play four-match Test series against Australia for the Border-Gavasakar Trophy, a triangular Commonwealth Bank one-day series with Sri Lanka as the third team and a Twenty20 international against Australia.
The first of the four Tests starts on Boxing Day in Melbourne (December 26-30) with the other matches in Sydney (January 2-6), Perth (January 16-20) and Adelaide (January 24-28).
After that, Sri Lanka will join India and Australia in the Commonwealth Bank Tri-Series, which is scheduled to run from February 3 to March 7.
India will play a Twenty20 match against Australia on Februatry 1 in Melbourne.
Between the second and third Tests, India will travel to Canberra for a three-day match against an Australian Capital Territory XI -- comprising ACT cricketers and players invited from other states -- from January 10-12, Cricket Australia said today.
