India beats Windies by 14 runs in first one-dayer
Nagpur, Jan 21 (UNI) India today held their nerve to contain a rampaging Shivnaraine Chanderpaul to score a narrow 14 run victory in the first one-dayer against the West Indies at the Vidarbha Cricket Association ground here today.
Chasing a huge target of 339 in 50 overs, the West Indies, ended with 324 for eight with Chanderpaul remaining unbeaten with 149.
India with this win go up 1-0 in the four match series with the next match to be played at Cuttack on January 24.
