IND vs SA: Fans react as Sanju Samson flaunts biceps after hitting maiden ODI hundred in South Africa
IND vs SA: Sanju Samson hit his first ODI hundred after coming to bat at number three in the third and final match of the series against South Africa at the Boland Park in Paarl on Thursday, December 21.
Coming to bat at number three in the series-decider, Samson played a very mature knock. India lost the wickets of openers Sai Sudharsan and Rajat Patidar inside eight overs.

Captain KL Rahul could also score just 21 runs and with his wicket in the 19th over, the Indian scorecard read 101/3. However, Samson, who has often been accused of wasting opportunities, took the challenge head on and stitched a century stand with Tilak Varma (52).
In his extremely mature knock which helped India post a 297-run target for South Africa, the 29-year-old hit six fours and three sixes. He entered into the 90s with an excellent pull shot for a six. He stole a single on the final ball of the 44th over from Maharaj to bring up his first ODI hundred off 110 balls.
He celebrated his hundred by taking of helmet and flexing his biceps towards his teammates sitting in the dressing room. KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal and others stood up and applauded the innings. Samson scored 108 runs off 114 balls before being dismissed in the 46th over by Lizaad Williams. Here's how fans reacted on X.
Sanju Samson made his T20I debut back in 2015. However, he got the opportunity to play his first ODI match in July 2015. He had to wait for more than two years and 14 innings to bring up his maiden ODI ton. Overall, the Kerala captain has scored 510 runs in 16 matches at an average of 56.67 and a strike rate of 99.61. He has also hit three fifties in the format.
"Feels interesting, just going through with it. Feels an emotional one. There's been a lot of work I've been putting in physically and mentally over the past year. They bowled well with the new ball, as the ball got older it was getting difficult to bat. But we got momentum through my partnership with Tilak. Maharaj bowled really well," Samson said after hitting first ODI hundred.
