In Pics: Indian cricketers freeze in chilly winter in Delhi
New Delhi, Jan 7: After facing defeat in two consecutive matches, Team India finally managed to get the first point with a victory over Pakistan Team at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi on Sunday, Jan 6. However, it was not easy for the cricketers to play at a time when the minimum temperature dipped to 1.9 degree Celsius.
Cricketers from both teams struggled to keep themselves warm while playing the one day cricket match. Even on Monday, Delhi continues to shiver as mercury dipped to 1 degree Celsius on Monday, Jan 7. However, visibility was normal with no fog.
India Meteorological Department on Monday informed that the temperature in Delhi and surrounding areas is expected to rise in next two-three days.
Other states in North India including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar and Jammu Kashmir will continue to freeze for next few days as temperature may drop more, stated MeT department.
