I have no issues meeting PCB chief for review of ban: Rana Naved

Lahore, June 26 (ANI): Banned Pakistan fast bowler Rana Naved ul Hasan has said he has no qualms over approaching the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ijaz Butt to demand a review of his 12-month ban and two million rupee fine.

The PCB's appellate tribunal, which was formed to hear the appeals of players who were banned and fined by the PCB following the team's winless tour of Australia earlier this year, had asked Naved to consult Butt and request him to review his punishment.

"I have no issues meeting with the PCB chairman and apprising him of my point of view on the ban imposed on me and also asking him to review the penalties imposed on me," The Daily Times quoted Naved, as saying.

"I am keen to play for Pakistan again and if the PCB is willing to reconsider the ban on me, I have no issues approaching them. I just want to resume my international cricket career as I still have some years of cricket left in me," he added.

Naved, who was blamed for ruining the dressing room's atmosphere during the tour Down Under, rejected the PCB enquiry committee's report against him and said he just wants to clear his name from all charges levelled against him.

"I am keen to clear my image as a trouble maker and indisciplined guy on the tour," he said. (ANI)
