ICL should not have indulged in confrontation with BCCI: Patel
Bangalore, Aug 22 (UNI) Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Secretary Brijesh Patel today said the newly formed Indian Cricket League (ICL) should not have indulged in confrontational attitude with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
''ICL, instead of adopting confrontational attitude, should have sat with BCCI and discussed and offered to conduct tournament for promoting the game. ICL adopted a wrong approach,'' Patel said, while speaking at a press conference here.
Regarding the reports on his statement that formation of ICL might not pose a threat to BCCI, Mr Patel said that the players selected by ICL so far were either on the verge of retirement or aged, and how long they could perform in the field needed to be watched.
