ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Points Table: Standings, Results, Stats and Key Facts
The ICC World Cup 2023 has started in India from October 5 and will continue till November 19. The 13th edition of the 50-over World Cup is being played across ten venues in India, and it is being played among 10 teams.
India is the solitary hosts of the World Cup, and Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa, England and The Netherlands are the other participants of this World Cup.
On Thursday (October 12), Australia played South Africa at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. And the Proteas won it by 134 runs. Australia now have lost consecutive matches, while South Africa have won their first two.

- South Africa posted the highest total in World Cup history against Sri Lanka. The Proteas scored 428/5 in 50 overs.
- Mitchell Santner became the first player to pick up a five-for in the 2023 World Cup.
- Pakistan chased down 345 against Sri Lanka on October 10, which is the highest successful run chase in the history of the World Cup. The match also saw 4 centurions, which is also a first-time occurence.
- India captain Rohit Sharma created record in the Afghanistan match with most number of centuries in ODI World Cup history. He has 7 WC centuries so far.
- India won their 8th consecutive ODI World Cup match against Pakistan.
