ICC approves Hifenhaus as Tait's replacement
Dubai, Aug 23 (UNI) The International Cricket Council (ICC ) today approved Ben Hilfenhaus as a replacement player for pacer Shaun Tait in the Australian squad for the Twenty20 World Championship, which kickstarts in South Afriva from September 11.
Hilfenhaus replaces Tait after the the 24-year-old pacer, who shot to the limelight during the Caribbean World Cup, was ruled out of next month's inaugural tournament after medical reports indicated he had still not recovered from his right elbow surgery and would not be fit in time to take part in the event.
With this Tait becomes the first replacement player to be called up for the upcoming tournament so far.
