Howszzat Corporate cricket in aid of Concern India Foundation

Pune, Feb 9 (UNI) Riding on the bandwagon of the World-Cup hype and hysteria, the Indian Institute of e-Business Management (IIeBM) will be hosting the third edition of 'Howszzat' corporate cricket tournament in association with noted builderse 'Mirchandani Group' in aid of Concern India Foundation at Wakad on the Pune-Mumbai expressway from February 13-18.

Briefing mediapersons here today, IIeBM founder, director Col.

Vinod Marwaha (retd) and Concern India Foundation Pune region chief Malvika Gaur said the main aim behind hosting such an event was not only to get the corporates from various sectors of the industry on a common platform but also raise funds for various projects supported by Concern India Foundation, who are mainly involved in giving a helping hand to the downtrodden and the unfortunate people of society.

Col Marwaha stressed the importance of inculcating ethical values, team work, leadership qualities, self employment and business management to the 400 students from all over the country.

''In all, 32 corporate teams from IT companies, BPO's, Banks, Insurance companies, Telecom companies, production companies and other cricket loving corporates will be taking part in the event, which has added incentives of fun and enjoyments,'' Ms Gaur said.

''To make it exciting and thrilling the event will be played under lights, with a 8 a side on knock-out format. To make it more interesting and ensure every players involvement, players will bowl only one over, while batting will be in pairs. A pair will retire after batting for two overs and would be replaced by a new pair, Col Marwaha explained.
