High Court allows inaugural IPL match in Mumbai on April 9

Mumbai, April 7: The Bombay High Court on Thursday (April 7) permitted the inaugural Indian Premier League 2016 (IPL) match between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants to be held at the Wankhede Stadium here on Saturday (April 9) as scheduled.

The high court ruling came on a PIL challenging the staging of IPL matches in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur on grounds of acute water crisis in the state.
