GT vs RCB: 'Mind-Blowing Conistency' - Twitter Reacts After Sai Sudharsan Completes 400 Runs in IPL 2024

Gujarat Titans batter Sai Sudharsan continued his run-scoring spree in IPL 2024 with an unbeaten fifty against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday (April 28) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Sudharsan, who walked out to bat in the second over of the innings, scmashed 84 not out off 49 balls to become the second player after RCB's Virat Kohli to score past 400 runs in the ongoing season.

The 22-year-old Tamil Nadu batter has been very consistent this season, registering scores of 45(39), 37(31), 45(36), 33(19), 31(23), 35(29), 12(9), 31(34), 65(39), 84*(49). He has never posted a single digit score this year in IPL.

With his latest knock, Sudharsan took his tally to 418 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 135.7 and an impressive average of 46.4. Fans and cricket fraternity were amazed by his consistency.

"Sai Sudharsan has all the moves in his playbook, making it really hard for bowlers to keep him in check. He's a tough nut to crack with his modern game," one fan posted on X.

"Sai Sudharsan has carried this batting line up of GT all alone, even ahead of Gill. Unreal consistency, doesn't really get the appreciation he deserves!" another fan posted on X how the 22-year-old has carried the responsibility.

Sudharsan actually combined with his Tamil Nadu teammate Shahrukh Khan to dig GT out of a tricky situation of 45/2 in 6.4 overs. The TN pair added 86 off 45 balls with Shahrukh (58 off 30) scoring his maiden fifty in IPL during the stand.

Former India cricketer S Badrinath, who also played for Tamil Nadu, was thrilled with the way two of his hometown players batted at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday (April 28).

Another former Indian cricketer from Tamil Nadu, Abhinav Mukund used the TNPL team reference to praise Sudharsan and Shahrukh for their splendid stand agaisnt RCB.

After Shahrukh dismissal in the 14th over, Sudharsan carried his bat through the innings, sharing a 69-run stand with David Miller (26* off 19) to propel GT to 200/3 in their allotted 20 overs.
