GT vs MI, IPL 2025 Eliminator: Full List of Award Winners, Stats, Post-Match Presentation
Mumbai Indians stamped their authority on the IPL 2025 Eliminator with a clinical 20-run victory over Gujarat Titans in Mullanpur, booking their spot in Qualifier 2 and pushing the Titans out of the tournament.
Batting first on a batting-friendly surface, Mumbai Indians posted an imposing 228/5 - a total that underscored both intent and execution. Rohit Sharma was at his vintage best, anchoring the innings with a majestic 81, while Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya along with Tilak Varma provided the late-innings acceleration. MI never let up the pressure, targeting the Titans' pacers with surgical precision and exploiting every scoring zone.

Gujarat's chase started in disarray, with Shubman Gill dismissed in the very first over. The early blow rattled the Titans' top order, but Sai Sudharsan took charge with poise, crafting a well-paced half-century that kept the Titans' hopes flickering. His batting was a blend of composure and courage, and his milestone of breaching 700 runs in the season cemented his rise as one of the brightest young stars of the league.
However, consistent wickets at key moments hurt GT's pursuit. Even as Sudharsan held one end, the lack of support from the middle order, combined with MI's unrelenting death-overs discipline, pushed the Titans into a corner they could never escape from. In the end, they could only manage 208 runs as MI won the match by 20 runs.
