Ganguly injures ankle; likely to miss warm-up match
Montego Bay, Jamaica, Mar 9 (UNI) The Indian camp watched with bated breath and crossed fingers as Sourav Ganguly hurt his ankle during a net practice session here, making himself a doubtful starter in the last warm-up match against the West Indies today.
With the World Cup getting under way a couple of days hence (Sunday), the team management was not likely to risk the southpaw in the match the today, according to team sources.
India start their World Cup campaign with a match against dark horse Bangladesh on March 17 at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.
