Ganguly in; Sehwag, Pathan, Laxman, Kaif out for 2 ODIs against WI

Rajkot, Jan 12 (UNI) Virender Sehwag's was one of the heads, along with Irfan Pathan, that rolled as selectors stuck to the perform-or-perish mantra and rehabilitated Sourav Ganguly for the first two ODIs against the West Indies later this month.

Ganguly also walks back to the 30-member World Cup list of probables.

In absence of Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar will be the vice captain in the first two matches against Brian Lara's side, chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar announced today.

Though Anil Kumble's name did not feature for the first two ODIs against West Indies, Vengsarkar clarified the leggie has merely been rested and would play in the next two one dayers.
