From Twitter: Cricketers, fans say '#ThankYouSanga' to Kumar Sangakkara
Colombo, Aug 23: Cricketers and fans joined in to pay their tributes to Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara, who retired from international cricket today with a knock of 18 runs during the 2nd Test against India.
On Sunday, at the P Sara Oval, Sangakkara batted for the final time in international cricket and he bowed out with 18 runs. He was dismissed by off-spinner R Ashwin.

As he arrived to bat, Indian players and umpires gave him a guard of honour as they had done in the first innings.
Sri Lanka were set a target of 413 to win on the 4th day. They finished the day at 72/2.
It was the end of an era in Sri Lankan cricket with Sangakkara saying goodbye to international cricket.
India's Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Sangakkara's friend and former team-mate Mahela Jayawardene, Suresh Raina and several others took to Twitter to salute the Sri Lankan legend.
