Flying start for India at the Greatest Race on Earth

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) India's Satya Prakash finished fifth in the Nation Challenge category of the Standard Chartered Greatest Race on Earth International Marathon first leg held at Nairobi yesterday.

According to information received here, Satya Prakash overcame the fatigue of running on high altitude (over 1600m) race route to finish a credible fifth with a timing of 2:28:54hr. He finished 50th overall.

In the women's section, India's Bhagwati took 3:47:43hr to finish the gruelling marathon. She finished 14th in the Nation Challenge women's category and 31st overall.
