Flintoff and Lineker's terrifying taste of Taliban terror

London, Oct 5(ANI): In a bizarre incident, England cricketer Andrew Flintoff and TV presenter Gary Lineker were recently caught up in a Taliban attack while they were on a troop visit in Afghanistan

The incident took place at Kandahar air base to hand out an award for the Mirror Pride of Britain awards.

According to reports, both of them were in a forces dining room when an alarm warned of rocket fire, which made them and the other soldiers duck for cover.

"I thought it was a wind-up but then I saw everyone dive to the floor. It was scary," The Daily Star quoted Flintoff, as saying.

While, 48-year-old Lineker said: "Hearing that alarm really brought home what's going on. You take your hat off to these guys here."

The rocket attack alarm was given an all clear 30 seconds later. (ANI)
