Five-Day camp for Team India bowlers begins in Mysore
Mysore, Jun 4 (UNI) After a resounding victory against Bangladesh, Team India bowlers today began workout at the Infosys facility here under the watchful eyes of bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad and trainer Gregory King for the upcoming tour of Ireland and England.
Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA-Mysore zonal) Convenor Balachandra said the players would undergo physical training and bowling practice till evening under the guidance of former pace bowler Venkatesh Prasad.
The camp gets underway sans Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh, who are busy for the Afro -Asia Cup matches to be held in Bangalore (June six) and Chennai (June nine and ten).
Uttar Pradesh lad Piyush Chawla, who gave up the opportunity of getting trained in Australia under Border-Gavaskar Scholarship also arrived here with other members after being asked by the BCCI yesterday.
The camp, totally barred for media, would last till June eight.
The players participating in the camp included Anil Kumble, Ajit Agarkar, Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Rudra Pratap Singh, V R V Singh, Ishant Sharma, Ranadeb Bose, Romesh Powar, Rajesh Pawar, Pankaj Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Piyush Chawla.
