DMW beat MCA by four runs

Patiala, Jun 4 (UNI) DMW, Patiala, snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, beating Mohali Cricket Association (MCA) by four runs in the 10th Hot Weather Cricket Tournament (Under-13) here today.

Batting first, DMW were all out for 149 runs in 36 overs. Anmol Malhotra batted superbly to score 63 in style. Atul Sharma (24) and Harish Kamal (17 not out) were the other run getters. For MCA, Simrandeep and Gurpreet bagged three wickets each, giving away 15 and 48 runs respectively.

In reply, MCA scored 145 for 8 in the allotted 40 overs, losing the match by a whisker. Pokhraj's neatly compiled 77 runs could not save his team from defeat. For DMW, Karan took 2 for 14.

In another match, Stadium X1, Agra, defeated APJS, Kharar, by five wickets. Batting first, APJS were all out for 90 runs in 30 overs.

Arpit (30) was the only APJS batsman to withstand the penetrative Stadium X1 bowling attack.

For Stadium X1, Shubhanshu bowled well to capture five wickets, conceding 20 runs. Stadium X1 scored 93 for 5 in 35 overs. Yash Gupta played well to score 25, while Abhishek (12) and Manoj (10) were the other run getters. For APJS, Karanveer and S Bhambri took 2 wickets each, giving away 12 and 22 runs respectively.
