Dharmani to lead Punjab Ranji team

Chandigarh, Oct 21 (UNI) Punjab's senior most player and batsman-cum-wicketkeeper Pankaj Dharmani has been appointed Punjab Ranji captain for the upcoming cricket season.

Announcing this here today, Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) secretary M P Pandove said that the PCA Senior Selection Committee had also selected state team for the first Ranji Trophy match to be played at Amritsar from November 3 to 6.

Team India stars Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh have been included in the team. Dharmani takes over from Dinesh Mongia who has signed for the Indian Cricket League (ICL) and was not considered for selection.
