Dasmunsi mum on Nimbus threat to BCCI

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi today refused to comment on the Nimbus threat to pull out of 612 million-dollar telecast deal with the BCCI.

''The matter is before the Lok Sabha and I cannot comment on it,'' he told reporters when asked about Nimbus' reported threat to pull out of the deal if the Ordinance issue was not sorted out.

The Lok Sabha is taking up tomorrow for consideration of a bill to replace an Ordinance which provides for mandatory sharing of live feed of sporting events of national importance with Prasar Bharati.

Meanwhile, the five-member committee of the Board, set up in the wake of telecast row, will meet to discuss the issue here tomorrow at Delhi Cricket Association chief and MP Arun Jaitley's residence.

BCCI vice-presidents Shashank Manohar and Lalit Modi, Treasurer N Srinivasan and former chief I S Bindra will attend the meeting.
