Cricketing bigwigs panic over unavailability of Queen's favourite cocktail at Lord's

London, July 19 (ANI): England cricketing bigwigs were thrown into a panic after they realised that the Queen's favourite tipple is a mix of gin and Dubonnet were not available, when the royal visited to see the Second Test at Lord's on Friday.

According to reports, MCC committee room steward Brian Levitt was ordered to get the Dubonnet as a matter of urgency, but a local off-licence told him that no one had asked for Dubonnet for 30 years.

He luckily managed to source one at a supermarket, only to be stopped from entering the ground by the notorious Lord's gatemen, reports the Daily Star.

Finally, a call had to be made to MCC chief executive Keith Bradshaw so that the drink could be taken into the venue. (ANI)
